Hugo Barão is a Portuguese-British portrait, lifestyle and documentary photographer based in Lisbon.
Raised in Peniche, a small fishing and surfing town on Portugal’s west coast, his work explores the interaction between people and their environments through a blend of documentary observation and artistic narrative, characterised by emotional warmth and a strong connection to the natural world.
Barão has collaborated with brands and collectives including MB WAY, Surfing Western Australia, 58 Surf and CB Coração Bobo across commercial assignments.
